“Can there be peace in all of Karamoja?”

| This past August, a conflict that seemed to one elderly woman in Uganda’s Karamoja Province “like it would not end,” did just that. In September, two bitterly warring clans began to graze their cattle together, a remarkable turn of events. Jie and Matheniko now move freely across the border between each others’ territory, something that would have been unthinkable during the conflict. There is even talk of intermarriage. i have heard quite an amount on Uganda and some really horrible stuff happens there.
Praise God for Jesus; that he brings us renewed hope every second
Praise God for Australia, it has been blessed with education, knowledge and wisdom to assist in everyone’s walk of life.
Praise God for people and organisations like the IRC that use their time for the good of humanity.

Absolutely there can be peace in Karamoja but this will come with time through putting enormous efforts on peace and justice emphasizing the traditional justice system.
The different agencies working in the region should be at the forefront in utilizing or putting in place frameworks to operationalised the traditional justice system.
